Peach Cobbler

This is a recipe that our family enjoys and is really handy for when you want to bake something but are running short on milk or eggs. This recipe can be used with many other fruits as well.

Peach Cobbler

Ingredients
  • 1 large jar peaches
  • 4oz (125gr) butter
  • 1¼ cup flour
  • ¾ cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/4 tsp cream of tartar

* If using fresh peaches use 2 cups of fresh peaches and use only ¾ cup of sugar.

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 180C. Melt butter in 20.5cmx20.5cm baking pan while oven is preheating.
  2.  Meanwhile add the rest of the ingredients, aside from the peaches, to a bowl and mix. Mixture should resemble pancake batter and you can add extra water if needed.
  3.  Add the batter to the pan after butter is melted. Add the drained peaches on top of the batter.
  4. Do not stir. Bake at for 1 hour. Serve with homemade whipped cream or ice cream!!
