If you believe that you belong to God and are
His child, then your body belongs to Him too.
You are God’s Gear. Your body is God’s Gear!
The Bible says,
“Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honour God with your body.”
1 Cor.
6:19, 20
We
can honour God in our body, in many areas like:
What we eat
What we say, How we say it
Where we go, Where we work
What we do
What we wear
Who we marry, How we treat others
How we treat our parents
How we spend His money, How we spend our time
What entertainment we use, What friends we
have etc.
If
we belong to God, then He needs to be in charge of our bodies and what we do
with them.
Is He in charge of your life? Are you an
ambassador for Christ?
Paul says in the Bible,
“So we are
Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ
when we plead, “Come back to God!” 2
Cor. 5:20
Do
we represent Him accurately or would we be ashamed of ourselves if He were to
walk next to us?
The fact is, that He IS walking right next to
us. He is watching everything very
closely.
Do we disappoint Him?
Is His heart breaking?
Are
we being Hypocrites?
Are we blaspheming His Name by saying we are
His and not honouring and obeying Him in our bodies?????????
Good
Questions!
If you are serious about being a follower of
Jesus Christ then you need to obey Him.
Jesus says in the Bible ,
“Those who
accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they
love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to
each of them.” John 14:21
If you want to obey Him, then you need to
know what His commandments are and what He wants for your life.
PLEASE
consider the questions above and ask God to reveal things in your life that
need to change. Study His word so that you can learn
what pleases God and what does not please Him.
“Jesus Christ died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. “ 2 Cor. 5:15
